I’ve been waiting a long while to start this article because of the project that I’ve been a part of. The goal of it was to create a Canon of video game music so that anyone who wanted to listen to VG music, would have a good place to start.

The cliche move of walking to your local garage sale to find old discarded NES games is becoming a thing of the past.
With countless new generations of video games falling into the laps of today’s youth, old cartridges are becoming harder to find. I know I’d never give up my old games, but some people don’t know the value of what they hold in their hands. To raise awareness for collectors, I’m going to go over just how our beloved NES and Genesis games are meeting their end.

Well I’ll be talking about music as usual, of course this time my complaint is with one of the big sellers of this year: Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Now of course I will openly say that I was initially wary of this game because it was, in fact, my favorite out of the series, and I really did not want to be disappointed, nor to pay $40. So naturally I did not buy it, but of course I checked out the music, and I was dismayed to find something that stopped far short of it’s potential.

Yes I know what you’re thinking, Metal Gear Solid?? EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THAT GAME.
But I’m not referring to the Playstation game at all.
No what I’m referring to is the Gameboy color game.
In Japan it was released under the title Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. The story is not continuous with any of the Metal Gear Solid story lines, but it is an alternate timeline that takes place 8 years after the events of Outer Heaven.
