Well I was playing a
round with SNES and PSX controller and I had a thought. Is it possible that the two consoles have some relation? They have very similar button configurations despite the fact that the Nintendo 64 and Playstation were dire competitors in a war of cartridges vs. CDs. So I decided to do some investigating in order to see for myself if the Playstation could be the true successor to the SNES.

Well today I was playing an online Video Game Music quiz and I happened upon the opening theme of Cannon Fodder. I’ll just say that I had no idea what was coming there, it starts out with ska chords and goes into “♫ War, never been so much fun…♫” So for the focus of this article I will talk about some attention grabbing intros. Not all of them need take the Cannon Fodder approach but all of them have some quality that makes them unforgettable.

Yes Folks we have something special for you today! Our own Andrew Ragazzo has released an epic compilation of himself singing ’80s songs. Andy has long been a proponent of ’80s music and anyone who has heard him passionately sing “Eye of the Tiger” can attest to his virtuousity. Michael Buczkowski said, “It was like a bolt of lightning hit me in crotch.”

Have no fear, with only the top three soundtracks left to go, Chrono Trigger is here. Deciding to leave Chrono Cross out was difficult, but in the face of this game, it just wasn’t possible. Still, Chrono Trigger is easily a timeless soundtrack that will remain on this top 10 as sure as Yasunori Mitsuda composed it. Track after track is another standalone melody with astounding sound quality.
