Return of the Speed Run Article: Ocarina of Time

August 1, 2013

Cosmo Wright. A well known name in speed runs these days. His latest run on Twitch TV certainly turned a few heads: 22 Minutes for: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Much faster than my 8 or 9 hours… I thought that was the world record until I did a few searches to discover that nedeaS managed to shave 3 minutes off (somehow!). Both videos have jaw-dropping actions and insane glitches, but, I think the most interesting one to watch is actually the slower of the two.

Mario for Rent

April 9, 2013

Well I want to break up my series about mythology to bring up something that has kind of become a background noise in our lives: renting games. Video Games Have Given Us Back Our Faith?

February 27, 2013

changing too fast to become mythologized.”

Sounds simple enough – even if you don’t accept it. Now, where does faith come in?

Cool Down Your Summer with Music

June 20, 2011

Well folks, summer is here and it’s not getting any cooler. Well personally I think it probably would, maybe with some pop and beer stashed inside – but nevertheless, I thought why not make a compilation of some chill, refreshing water themes to fight against the increasing summer heat, which I hear is cracking the 90s in a lot of places. y(es that was one sentence!)

Stand Out Game Introductions

June 18, 2009

Well today I was playing an online Video Game Music quiz and I happened upon the opening theme of Cannon Fodder. I’ll just say that I had no idea what was coming there, it starts out with ska chords and goes into “♫ War, never been so much fun…♫” So for the focus of this article I will talk about some attention grabbing intros.  Not all of them need take the Cannon Fodder approach but all of them have some quality that makes them unforgettable.
